If you have less than 100 other people on Yik Yak within the 1. Park was arrested on suspicion of making a terrorist threat toward black students and faculty at the. Yik Yak is one of the fastest growing apps right now, growing incredibly fast among college campuses, with people in their late teens and twenties.

There are a few tricks we can do to get access. And people different, including stupid, offensive and obnoxious people you might not have grown up with. Thanks to the voting system, users determined what they wanted to keep in their feed and what to get rid of.

Yik Yak Online

Yik Yak acts like a local bulletin board for your area by showing the most recent posts from other users around you. It allows anyone to connect and share information with others without having to know them. News, funny experiences, shout outs, and jokes spread faster than ever through Yik Yak's tight-knit community. Create quality content and yik yak online upvotes from other members of your community. Be engaged in your community and help decide what's the best through upvotes and downvotes. Spread the word to grow the herd. I like this app because it's just for college students, it's anonymous, and it's cool to interact yik yak online everyone on campus or read what they're thinking. Not to mention the occasional comedy that can be read on it. However, people use it to bash other people, to hook up, talk so negatively about everything and everyone. Although it can be fun at times it can also be extremely hateful and unnecessary. This app is huge on my campus but people mostly post negative or sexual things. I think the best part is that you're anonymous so you have the freedom to say anything without people knowing who you are. Its really helpful since it serves as a community bulletin board. However, this app can only be used by college students. I use it to ask questions about certain classes or professors, or I use it to to ask for advice. But the down side is that since it's anonymous that means people are more prone to post rude and insensitive comments. But overall I find it helpful since it helps me become more aware of what is going on around me. This app needs to have a filtering system. It's great for seeing funny memes or if anyone posts about any events going on. However, it seems like a place where yik yak online users write about negative or inappropriate things and complain a lot. If they could filter that out and make it more of a fun and positive environment, then I would consider re-downloading it. I use it most when I'm up at my university because that's when it's most active and fun. I'v been seeing a lot of negative reviews everywhere and I just wonder why. This is meant to be a university app, not for everyone- which explains why it's boring at some places. This is an exciting app at my university because you basically know whats going on at all times throughout the campus because someone will be posting about it. I was against getting this at first, but after the first month or so of my first year of college, I decided to get it. It isn't the best app in the world and it can be too depressing sometimes with people venting, but my campus is pretty dorky and funny, so it can be really entertaining, too. I like that it is a sort of cultural connection for everyone on campus, so I would recommend it to college students. It's completely anonymous, and anyone from your area 18+ I think can post. I like that it changes depending on where you are, so if you're vacationing somewhere you'll be in that Yik yak area and see their posts. It can get boring and useless in smaller towns, but near college campuses it is pretty lively. The only issue with this app is that a lot of bullying takes place, but that's what happens when people are anonymous. This app is huge on my college campus. While it can be useful at times for campus updates, information, etc, the anonymous interface makes everyone too vulnerable to having yik yak online dirty laundry aired in front of multiple viewers. The concept is cool, and it has been useful in letting me know things about campus, but there have been too many hurt feelings and things I have seen that I never needed to know.

You know, she was greatly moved. The Anonymous Factor One reason why Yik Yak is so popular among young adults is that they get to speak freely, and nobody knows anything about who they are. Yik Yak's legal terms indicate that users may encounter content that may be deemed objectionable, obscene, or in poor taste and may or may not be identified as having explicit language. The posts on the app are called Jodels and are divided into three categories: Newest, Most Commented, and Loudest. I like that it changes depending on where you are, so if you're vacationing somewhere you'll be in that Yik yak area and see their posts. There are quite a few messaging apps out there similar to Yik Yak.
